1. Factory Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI)
To ensure 100% specification adherence before maritime departure, Sheen Overseas welcomes third-party international quality assurance inspection agencies—including SGS, TÜV SÜD, Bureau Veritas, and Intertek—as well as client-appointed technical auditors at our manufacturing plants and Mundra port container freight stations. Inspection protocols include:
- Digital caliper measurement of slab length, width, diagonal squareness, and edge thickness (±0.5 mm tolerance).
- Surface gloss meter verification (exceeding 90–95 GU on Polished surfaces; calibrated 15–25 GU on Honed/Matt).
- Shade, tone, and vein continuity checks across sequentially cut slabs.
- Fumigated timber crate construction and steel-strapping impact resilience audits.
2. Post-Arrival Inspection & Claim Timeframe
Upon ocean container delivery to the consignee yard or distribution warehouse, the buyer must conduct an immediate visual and physical audit:
- Seal Verification: Inspect container door bolt seals against Bill of Lading serials before opening.
- Notification Window: Any visible shipping breakage or crate failure must be recorded on the delivery receipt (CMR / Waybill) and submitted to Sheen Overseas within fourteen (14) calendar days of port discharge.
- Evidence Requirements: High-definition photographs of broken slabs inside the container, crate tags, batch QR codes, and a certified joint inspection tally sheet.
3. Custom Fabricated & Project-Specific Orders
Custom calibrated cut-to-size slabs, bespoke bookmatched sets, specialized CNC edge-profiled countertops, and custom thickness batches enter production upon signed shop drawings and irrevocable deposit. Because of their unique architectural dimensions, custom-fabricated orders cannot be returned or cancelled once slab sawing has commenced, except in confirmed cases of factory material non-conformity.
4. Refund & Replacement Execution
Upon verification of an accepted claim by our technical underwriting committee, Sheen Overseas offers the following remedies at the client’s election: (a) Priority manufacturing and dispatch of replacement slabs in the subsequent container shipment at factory expense, or (b) Issuance of an official Commercial Credit Note applicable against future invoices or refunded via international wire transfer within fifteen (15) banking days.
